Today although its still associated with tribal peoples such as the Masai warriors of East Africa body piercing has become popular in western society’ Made widespread by punk culture in the 1970s mainly because they don’t have the permanence of tattoos and are much quicker to have done and there are many high profile celebrities whose trendy. and body piercing pictures have made piercings trendy , 
Peoples opinions vary and youngsters see it as a form of self expression. Some have piercings carried out with a purpose and say that genital piercing improves sexual stimulation i.e. as in the Prince Albert Nipple piercings on inverted nipples make them stand out ( normal). Piercings on the tongue are said to give good oral sex however this is no substitute for a good technique. Depends how many and where they are say others.. Some guys like classy ear piercings on women and maybe the naval however the rest is a turn off for them. Girls have been known to rate male piercings as being hot.
